GyGy recently traveled to Chico to here nutrition guru Robb Wolf speak about all things Paleo.  This is what she had to say about the experience:

“Dano, Mesh Shorts and I had the amazing opportunity to attend a Robb Wolf Paleolithic Solution Seminar at Nor Cal Strength and Conditioning this past weekend. I know us crossfitters are always chasing to be bigger, faster, stronger athletes but how do we expect to make gains if we are putting crap inside of our bodies. Paleo methodology is simple, eat meat, veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds.  No artificial sugars and no grain (ie bread, pasta, rice, etc)! I know some of you are thinking that this is “crazy talk” but this shit works!  Whether you are trying to improve your “Fran” time or want to live a long, healthy, disease free life its time to start thinking about a change. Here are a few websites to help you get on track for a better quality of life”.

The Sac Town Throwdown is officially sold out.  So if you didn’t register as a spectator you’re S.O.L.  They are still looking for a few judges, check out CrossFit East Sacramento for more details.  Because a few of our scheduled competitors have been battling injuries we have not announced the team pairings as of yet but plan to do so ASAP.  Thanks for your patience.

The Wall Street Journal recently did a story on a Marine who suffered traumatic injuries while serving in Iraq and how CrossFit is helping in his recovery.  Check out the video of his story here:  Disabled Marine Keeps Fit Doing CrossFit – WSJ.com
