Please join me in congratulating our September Athlete of the Month…Connie Luuuuuuuuuuuuu! Yes she is now a coach at ARCFit, but before transitioning into that role she was the ideal ARCFit athlete. A tireless worker and always looking to improve herself, Connie came into the box and instantly found a home. She is quiet, determined and driven!
Connie stepped up this year and threw herself into the CrossFit competition world, competing in the Fittest of the Sierras, Femme Fit and last weekend’s Moxie Madness team competition. She really stepped up her game and helped the novice team finish in 5th place at Moxie, just missing a spot on the podium. It was very inspirational watching Connie hammer away at that final WOD, giving everything she had!
I’m sure you would all agree that adding Connie to the ARCFit coaching staff has been a wonderful thing! Her calm and encouraging style, plus the thirst to learn have made Connie an athlete favorite.
That is why it’s even harder to write this next paragraph! Unfortunately, Connie and her fiance, Eddy the Edster, will be moving back to her home state of Colorado in October. Although we will wish them well, the ARCFit fam is going to miss Connie and Eddy big time! So make sure to get into a class or three that she will be coaching in September before it’s too late.
Stay tuned as we will for sure be heading out for a night on the town with Eddy and Connie before they move to Denver. Dance party baby!!!
